About this course

This training course is approximately 30 minutes long and this course teaches caregivers the basics of estate planning, including how to help someone prepare for the future by organizing their money, property and medical care decisions. A key part of this training is understanding advance directives, a legal document that explains what kind of medical care a person wants if they can’t speak or make decisions. Caregivers will learn how to support individuals in choosing a trusted person to make decisions for them, how to talk about sensitive topics like end-of-life care and how to stay organized throughout the planning process. At the end of the course, caregivers will feel confident in giving both emotional and practical support, making a positive impact on the lives of those they care for.
